In Jayton’s One Act Play, Bailey Jeffrey won the Best Actress award for the Area round at Frenship High School.

Jeffrey played a lonely Vietnamese girl who became friends with the American GI’s. This young girl whose village and family were mass murdered has stuck around and become a common sight at base camp.

Her character brings fish from the river to the nurses and GI’s in exchange for chocolate and friendship. Her new friends have given her the nickname “Trout” and taught her how “crazy” things are on the base.
