Grab you a glass of tea and set with me awhile. Do I have a story to tell you this week. When Joe and I got to Kentucky Monday evening we had a surprise! He turned onto Stubble Field road and water was up to the bridge.

It had been misting on us all day from Texerkana, Tx to Kentucky. It’s been a long time since I had seen so much water. From Little Rock all he way up Highway 67 the fields were level full of water. Joe said, “Well they won’t have to flood the fields for the rice, the good Lord flooded it for them.” I said, “But, Joe some of them plant cotton.” The ditches were full and all the creeks were out of their banks. When we went across Mississippi River it was rolling and out of it’s banks. I had been looking at all the flowers along the way, but the traffic was so bad, I couldn’t have Joe stop and take pictures. The highway men had planted the prettiest little red flower that was so pretty mixed with the daisies and golden rods. When we got to Stubble Field Road, I said Joe, “Can we got down to Pointers Chapel Road?” We got across the bridge but water was lapping at the bottom.
