Fisher County appoints, Allen Arnwine, to fill sheriff’s vacancy

All eyes were on the Fisher County Courthouse Monday, as commissioners met in a special called meeting to deliberate the morning’s single agenda item: Appointment of Sheriff until November 2018 General Election; where upon the court appointed former DPS Trooper Allan Arnwine to the position.

This was the first time the court has convened since April 23rd when the commissioners accepted Sheriff H.T. Fillingim’s resignation, and no sooner had Judge Ken Holt brought the court to order, than a call for executive session set further deliberations behind closed-doors
