Challenges ahead for Fisher County Hospital

The Fisher County Hospital received the 2017 financial audit report last week, and the news was not good, as the facility suffered significant losses. Although the administration made numerous budget cuts in the months leading up to the 2018 year, first quarter reports show operation expenses continue to exceed revenues.

Deborah Whitley with BKD CPAs & Advisors presented the 2017 financial report, informing the FCH board on how the hospital stood financially compared to last year, changes within the healthcare industry, and discussed what the hospital should look at moving forward into the 2018 year.
