Roby lions discuss future of football

Superintendent Heath Dickson met with members of the football team as well as parents in order to discuss the future of the Roby Lion Football Team Tuesday night, specifically whether or not to remain as an 11-man team or drop down into the six-man classification.

Dickson said his recommendation would be to remain 11-man for the pre-district season and possibly drop down into the six-man division as an outlaw team for post district play at that time. He was appreciative of the parents and athletes who were in attendance and said he did not want to move forward without discussing the issue with those who it would affect most.
