The Aspermont Hornets landed in Guthrie last Friday night for a match up against the Paducah Dragons for the Bi-District Championship.

The Hornets would benefit from the coin toss and wasted no time in showcasing one of the states best ground games, with Soph RB Chris Mendez breaking a huge gain and Jr RB Rowdy Bradley cashing in on the next play, it was 6-0 with just a few ticks off the clock. Paducah had confidence in their ground game as well and traded shots for the rest of a fast and furious 1st quarter with the score being 30-21 Hornets when it ended.

In the 2nd quarter it would be about a swarming Hornet defense with 4 consecutive stops of the potent Dragon offense, a Clayton Martin interception, numerous big hits and sacks, and a goal line stance to end the quarter. With the Hornet offense scoring 3 more times in the quarter, the score at halftime was 52-21 in the Hornets favor.
