We had snow, yes we had a good snow, I know all the little ones had a ball, making snow balls, my sons wanted to know If I had played in the snow!!!!! I told them forget it, they weren’t little anymore and I wasn’t getting outside!!! We used to have fun in the snow but those times are gone, now I wrap up in my electric throw, get my good book on I pad and that’s where I stay!!!!!! The snow was beautiful, I say beautiful because it didn’t last long as soon as the temperature started going up, it started melting., The trees around the homes on Grace Street were beautiful, with the snow on top of all of them. I called Tennie Cade and told her I knew the pastures around her home were just beautiful, but I wasn’t getting out to take pictures,. Let’s go down memory lane with me for a minute, all of you that lived in Rotan, remember the old Grammar School hill, when we were all growing up it snowed and I mean it snowed. We all played on the hill and slid down those hills, it was 3 tiered I guess you would say, and we did have a ball sliding down one tier and then onto the other one. Not often did school close down the town kids were in school, and if the buses could run they picked up the out of town kids., It was a fun week for us to all play in that snow, You know in all the states that Lester and I traveled in, they would say “Where are you all from?” and I’d say you probably don’t know a little town in Fisher County called Rotan, and now as Joe and I travel I say a little town in Stonewall County called Aspermont.
