Lions fall to Hornets and Indians

The Lions encountered a very good and determined team in Aspermont on Friday; both the J.V. and Varsity lost their games.

The J.V. girls got beat 15-62. Only five girls played due to injuries; all five girls scored with Harlee McGlothlin having 5 points, Laramie Harris 4 points, Kayden Harris 3 points, Zena Hargrove 2 points, and McKenzie Subia 1 points.

The Varsity girls lost 50-81. The Lady Lions dug a hole early with Aspermont leading 26-4 at the end of the first period. The Lady Lions outscored them 19-17 in the second period, but found themselves trailing 23-43 at the half. Aspermont owned the third period, outscoring the Lady Lions by 14 points to go up 67-33. The Lady Lions scored 17 points in the fourth period and finished the game 50-81. Kaylee Weaver led the Lady Lions in scoring and rebounding; with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Emilea Cole had 14 points and 4 rebounds. Berkley Johnson, Brynlie Johnson, an Caitlyn Benson each had 2 points, and Lucy Alls had 1 point.
