The Rotan Lady Yellowhammers had an opportunity to improve their district record above 500 (won by forfeit over Paint Creek Lady Pirates, winning over the Lady Bobcats of Rule, a loss against the Lady Pied Pipers of Hamlin, and a loss against the Lady Hornets of Aspermont). On January 4, the team hosted the Lady Lions of Roby. Two minutes and forty-four seconds into the game, the Lady Hammers only trailed by 2 points (2-4) with 5:16 remaining in the opening period. In the final period the Lady Hammers matched the Lady lions with 10 points added to the score board…Hammers 33 and Lions 59 as the team dipped below 500 with a 2-3 record.
