For the second time in recent years, the TMF Health Quality Institute awarded its coveted gold award to Stonewall Memorial Hospital in recognition of holding itself to exemplary standards within its community.

TMF Health Quality Institute focuses on improving lives by improving the quality of health care through contracts with federal, state and local governments, as well as private organizations. For more than 45 years, TMF has helped health care providers and practitioners in a variety of settings improve care for their patients.

Established in 2004 for non-competitive recognition, the institute sponsors the Hospital Quality Improvement Award Program in partnership with the Arkansas Hospital Association, Oklahoma Hospital Association, Oklahoma State Office of Rural Health, Texas Hospital Association and the Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals.

Gold is the highest tier and has the most stringent requirements. Stonewall Memorial was a gold award recipient during the last program cycle beginning in 2015. Out of 557 Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS or Acute Care) Hospitals and 188 Critical Access Hospitals — such as Stonewall Memorial — only 51 earned the TMF Hospital Quality Improvement Gold Award.
