Roby Lions Club showed their support of community youth by awarding Roby High School Senior Riley Branson $250 for continued education.

According to President Carolyn Hargrove, “Riley submitted the winning essay on “Lions Club and the Value of Community Service”. He is a deserving recipient of this scholarship. We appreciate the interest and efforts of all scholarship applicants. Helping young people continue their education is one of the challenges our community faces, and it’s a need our club continues to address. We are also extraordinarily grateful for the support and contributions we receive from members of the community. You are helping us make a difference.”

In addition to student scholarships, the club conducts a variety of projects and events, including eyeglasses for under-privileged children, sending disabled children to Texas Lions Camp, supporting Mane Event, Fisher County Junior Livestock Show, encouraging literacy through book donations to all students grades Pre-k through 5, and other projects as they arise.
