Roby- Hector Castillo Jr., 47, was called home on July 23, 2019, in Lubbock. A memorial celebrating his life will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, August 17,2019, at Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. A going home celebration will follow at the Criswell Ranch, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.

Hector was born February 9, 1972, in Hamlin, Tx. Hector was the son of Hector Castillo Sr. and Delores Ortiz. Hector grew up working on the Criswell Ranch his whole life and he had a great love for the outdoors. Hector loved to fish, hunt, & trap to just name a few. If it involved being outside you could always guarantee that he would be there. He spent many days out at the Horseshoe Tank with his siblings and his side kick Buck sinking a few trying to catch the big one. You might even catch him relaxing in the shade of a mesquite tree enjoying the peacefulness. Hector loved his family and would do anything for them, but he loved his nieces and nephews even more. He loved to barbeque, and you could guarantee if the Dallas Cowboys or Texas Longhorns were playing, he was barbequing then as well. Although we know that his absence will be felt by us all we take comfort in knowing that it is never good-bye but see you later.

Hector is preceded in death by his grandparents Andres & Aurora Soliz, Bacilio & Petra Almanza; and his best friend Buck.

He is survived by his Father, Hector Castillo, Sr.; his mother and stepfather, Delores & Vicente Ortiz; one son Alexander Sterling Faglie,; sisters Lupita Velasquez and her husband Salvador, Candy Floyd and her husband Matt; brothers Larry Castillo and his wife Erika, Vincent Ortiz and his wife Melody Price; one grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
