Stonewall respond to interest in Airport

Stonewall County Judge Ronnie Moorhead informed the court Monday that he has been approached by a total of three individuals inquiring about long-term hangar access at the county-owned airport. Commissioners agreed they are open to allow for the construction of new facilities, but also want to assure the county is protected within any potential agreements.

During the past few months, a group of residents has expressed a desire to possibly construct hangars to store their aircraft. As the county has limited structures available for such storage, the commissioners are entertaining the proposal that interested parties be allowed to construct private hangars near runway access points.
