Part I

There comes a time when you just have to say all that you have held close to your chest, clutching it for fear of offending. This is one of those times. I am so tired of the “everybody gets a trophy for showing up.” Add that to the social atmosphere of being drunk on self- importance and entitlement that seems to be strangling our kids. Not long ago, I had a conversation with a business owner who said, it’s not unusual for young children who come into his store unattended, find a toy they like, open the package and walk out the door with it, or open the box and leave the toy on the floor after they finished playing with it.
