Cross Roads Baptist to Celebrate 110th Anniversary

Cross Roads Baptist Church will celebrate 110 years Sunday, September 15th at 10:30 a.m. Barry Sartain will return to lead the music and Tony Gruben will speak. A “PotLuck Lunch” will follow the morning worship service. Cross Roads Baptist Church was organized on September 19, 1909 after preaching service by Bro. J.M. Rankin. The meeting was held in the Cross Roads School House. When the school district consolidated with Rotan Independent School District in 1925, the building was deeded to the Church and has been a place of worship since that time. The church was first called the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. It was organized with 22 charter members. These were:
