Rosemary Springfield Highnote Orrell was born in Rotan, Fisher County, Texas September 3, 1927, she died May 11, 2019 in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas.

Born to Lurline Martin & Paul Springfield, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Alline Terry, brother Harold Springfield, niece Jonnie Hoodenpyle, grand-niece Lacy Callan Gilbreath and grandson Joey Angeles. Rosemary was married to and preceded in death by husband Van Highnote and husband Vernon Orrell.

Rosemary is survived by her children of the heart Russell (Marian) Orrell, Ellanorah (Calvin) Wilson, grandchildren Alec Orrell, Leif Orrell (Jade) and Christina Angeles. Great nieces Linda (Larry) Callan and Lisa (Mike) Hughes, greatgrand nieces Kolby, Kayden & Karlee, grandnephew Sam Hughes.

Rosemary was a buyer for and manager of department stores early in her career. She and her husband Van Highnote lived & worked many years in Cleburne, Texas until his death. Rosemary & Vernon married and she joined Vernon in his accounting practice and ranching operation in Clay County, Texas. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Fisher County near Sylvester and established their home, accounting & ranching operation. A talented artist who spent many happy hours painting & doing needle point, Rosemary also enjoyed working in her flower beds. Rosemary and Vernon were active in the Sylvester Methodist Church for many years and also enjoyed traveling in their retirement.

Graveside services will be held September 19, 2019, 10:00 am at the Newman Cemetery, off FM 1085 on County 163 in Fisher County. In lieu of flowers a donation to any Alzheimer’s organization or hospice of your choice is requested.
