The Fisher County Community Fall Festival took place in Roby over the weekend, where people traveled in from neighboring towns to have a little fun, do a little trick or treating, play some games, eat plenty of food, meet up with old friends and make a few new ones.

Event coordinator and Fall Fest Committee President Jenna Posey said this year’s festival was bigger than last year and ran smoothly with help from people in neighboring communities all around. As additional business and volunteers are showing interest after this year’s event, Posey said the committee already has ideas for next year.

Posey said trick or treating involves a lot of driving nowadays and liked the idea of trunk or treating she knew many churches were hosting. She saw it as an opportunity to bring people together and provide a safe place where kids can have fun, show off their costumes, and still get Halloween candy.
