Lady Hornets claim play-off berth

The Aspermont Lady Hornets hosted the Klondike Lady Cougars on 10/26 to decide who would take the district title. Unfortunately, Klondike played well in 3 out of 4 sets and the swarm was plagued by serving errors. In Match 1, Prairie Flowers led the offense with 6 serving pts, 4 aces, 3 assists, and 1 block. Sadie Gentry had 3 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 serving pt. Celie Gentry had 3 double blocks, 1 block, 3 assists, and 1 serving pt. Shelby Calamaco rejoined her team mates after some health issues and had 2 double blocks, 1 block, and 1 kill. Jenna Berry had 2 kills and 1 double block. Aaliyah Miller had 2 kills. Divina Murguia served 3 pts with 1 ace. Gracie Fraser also served up 1 pt. Also playing were Chayna Brown and Angelika Baez. The score was a very close 26-24 Aspermont.

In Match 2, S. Gentry led the set with 4 kills, 1 double block, 1 tip, and 2 serving pts. Flowers had 1 double block, 1 dig, and 3 assists. C. Gentry had 1 dig, 2 assists, and 1 serving pt. Regan Calamaco served 3 consecutive pts. Berry had 1 kill and Fraser served 1 pt. Others playing were S. Calamaco, Miller, Brown, and Baez. The score was 19-25.
