Rotan-Regina Leontine Hawkins, 85, passed away October 21, 2019, in Rotan. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 1, 2019.

Regina is preceded in death by her parents and husband (Robert L Hawkins).

Survivors include her children, Lorelei Hawkins, Robert Hawkins (Robin), and Genie Clayton; grandchildren, Amy Anderson (William), Joe Hawkins (Lecia), Ben Hawkins (Danielle), Grace Hauser (Travis), Sterling Clayton, Jillian Dotterweich , Jade Dotterweich ; eleven great grandchildren, Tobey Clayton; Elizabeth Hauser, Elsie Hauser, Elaina Hauser, Mason Anderson, Marshall Anderson, Melody Anderson, Layla Hawkins, Eli Hawkins, Owen Hawkins, Amelia Hawkins; Ed Branch, Karyn Branch, Special friend and loving companion, Terry Carter; numerous family and friends in both Houston and Rotan, including Joy Stinson and family, the Amy Bennett Garland families, Karen Payne, Erma and Scottie Daniels.

Born November 9, 1933, in Los Angeles, CA, Regina was the daughter of the late George and Lala Fern (Branch) Gannaway. Regina worked for BH Goodman Bus Service for over thirty years as both a driver and the dispatcher. She married Robert L Hawkins May 20, 1950, in Hobbs NM. Regina was very creative in floral design and sewing. She enjoyed painting and her work adorned walls in the family home. Regina loved her family and always cared to hear what they had to say, even sometimes directing them in the right direction by saying “May I Make A Suggestion”. She served as a Cub Scout Leader and was a Christian.
