Let me tell you girls I have found something worse than sand been tracked into the house, these leaves that fall from the trees are something else to clean up. Joe has walnut trees, apple trees, pecan trees, and pear trees all around his house, and then on top of them are the regular trees and all of them are letting the leaves fall. Well it rained all last

week, and when you walk outside those leaves stick to your shoes and you cannot get them to rub off and into the house they come. I have swept that back porch trying to keep them out of the house and I look and there they are in the kitchen floor again. I told Joe I believe they just sneak in the house when the door is opened!!!!

It has rained here all week long, it frosted Thursday night and I didn't get to pick my green tomatoes. I sure did want to bring home some of them but no luck, they were planted in the field too far for me to walk, and besides with the rain it was too muddy. We have the 4 wheel drive pickup that Joe keeps here to run around in the pasture but it was too muddy for it. I tried to send it to Texas to all of you that are needing the rain and I couldn't get it across the Mississippi River!!!! So the result we have just visited friends and relatives and finished getting the house ready for all the young grandsons and son that is coming to hunt this next week. They can hardly wait to get here and as Buzz said, "Dad we don't even care if we get a deer it will just be good to come and rest and enjoy Kentucky."
