Lady Hornets top rival Bobcats 58-25

The Aspermont Hornets hosted their old nemesis, the Rule Bobcats, at home on January 17th.

The Lady Hornets came out strong with plenty of inside and outside shots in the 1st quarter and beyond. Jenna Berry was strong down below scoring 3 baskets and 1 free throw for 7 pts. Sadie Gentry and Angelika Baez both drained impressive 3-pointers. Celie Gentry added another basket for 2 pts. The 1st quarter score ended with the Hornets ahead 15-4.

In the 2nd quarter, S. Gentry and Baez showcased their 3-point making skills again for their second on the night. Aaliyah Miller and Gracie Fraser both contributed 2 pts. Berry and Kelly Lowack added in 1 free throw a piece. The half ended with the Hornets widening their lead with a score of 27-12.

After the half, S. Gentry continued her flurry of 3-pointers, sinking 2 more plus 2 regular baskets for a total of 10 pts. Berry and Patricia Murguia also added a basket for 2 pts. The score at the end of the 3rd quarter was 41-21.
