The Aspermont School Trustees met last week during the end of school board appreciation month, and although trustees conducted Superintend Zack Morris’ annual evaluation, they did not vote an his contract. However, in other business, the board approved purchasing busses and Suburbans and heard about new programs the district has planned.

The AISD Board spent less than an hour behind closed doors last week to evaluate Superintendent Morris’ contract. However, after reconvening, trustees took no action on extending his contract. It is anticipated the board will vote on the superintendent and principal contracts during the February meeting.

However, the board did approve to procure new vehicles. Morris explained there are well over 100,000 miles racked up on the lowest mileage vehicle in the district’s fleet. Morris said the purchase of some new vehicles would be a good idea for the school.
