The Sweetwater Police Department received a call about the fraudulent use of a credit card on Sunday, February 16, which resulted in a search of the Ecolo Lodge Motel in Sweetwater. Working with hotel management, officers... entered the room in question during the investigation.

Officers noted a strong smell of marijuana in the air and Cristo Simmons (Fisher Co.) attempting to flush evidence down the toilet. However, the attempt failed and the evidence was recovered. Along with tampering with evidence charge, Simmons also received a charge for resisting arrest.
