Fisher County pursues litigation

With the approval of the commissioners on Monday, Fisher County Attorney Michael Hall will soon file suit against J&I Freight out of Abilene in the efforts to cover costs associated with damaged power lines at the courthouse.

Last August, while delivering pallets of copy paper to the Fisher County Courthouse, J&I Freight’s box truck’s clearance was unable to get beneath the power lines on the west side of the courthouse. The truck contacted the lines, dislodging them and damaging the power pole.
