The Rotan ISD Softball Field was vandalized last week when a vehicle spun doughnuts through grass and dirt Wednesday night, causing roughly $7,500 and has community members pooling money to offer a substantial reward for anyone providing information that leads to an arrest.

Rotan and surrounding areas had received a decent amount of rainfall going into the middle of last week, and the soil at the Rotan ISD Softball Field was soft. The damage was discovered Thursday, June 18, as it was clear that vehicle tires had carved several circular impressions into the diamond’s surface. Individual(s) also left behind several empty beer containers, the same brand as found strewn about the little league area directly across from the softball field’s entrance.
