Dorthy Jim Mize Tolan June 16, 1927 – January 13, 2019

Dorothy Jim Mize Tolan passed away January 23, 2019. In Rotan she was known by “Cootsie,” the nickname given to her by her dad. Outside of Rotan she was known by her middle name, “Jim”. Dorothy grew up in Rotan and her heart was always there. A lifelong fan of the Yellow Hammers, she spoke fondly of wandering the canyons and climbing the Double Mountains as a girl. Later in life, she would always say that she was “tough” because she was from West Texas. She was born June 16, 1927 in Rotan, and was the daughter of Henderson Floyd Mize and Claudia Jane Palmer Mize. Dorothy married JC Tolan and had three children, Bobby Jay Tolan, Vickie Annette Tolan Reasor, and Danny Lynn Tolan. She is survived by her children and her grandchildren: Erin Tolan, Christopher Reasor, Kari Reasor, Laura Tolan, and Leah Tolan. The youngest of 13 children, Dorothy loved a large extended family of relations and friends.

Frankie Stuart Jarnagin, 83, of Tolar, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019. Celebration of Life: 4:00 PM, Saturday, January 26, 2019, Tolar United Methodist Church, Tolar, Texas.

Frankie was born on September 19, 1935 in Roby, Texas to Rabon and Irene Stuart. She knew Jimmy “Jim” Jarnagin in High School and they rekindled their friendship when he came home in 2003. They were married in 2006. She owned a Merle Norman studio in Haleyville, Alabama for 25 years. She was a member of Tolar Methodist Church.

Frankie is survived by her husband : Jimmy “Jim”Jarnagin, sons: Ronald Clayton Cornell, Forrest Ra Cornell and wife Susan, Tym Cornell and wife Merry, stepchildren: Michele Anderson and husband Michael, Jon Melville Jarnagin and wife Diane, numerous grandchildren, twin great-grandsons, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Rotan-Debbie Gruben, 67, passed away December 21, 2018, in Fisher County. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Cross Roads Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Cross Roads Baptist church before the service. Burial will be in Belvieu Cemetery, directed by Weathersbees-Ray Funeral Home. Born on January 16, 1951, Debbie was the daughter of the late Bobby and Gene (Parmelly) Hayes. She married the love of her life Harold Gruben August 11, 1972, in Fisher County. Debbie went to work for Hargrove Crop Insurance in 1988 where she later retired. She enjoyed crafting, shopping, grandbabies, hunting arrowheads and cooking for her family. Christmas was Debbie’s favorite time of year. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Candi Hayes. Survivors include her beloved husband, Harold; one daughter, Amy and her husband J.D. Elrod; and two grandchildren, Riley and Kayme Elrod.

Mary Olga Carrillo (Frausto)

Mary Olga Carrillo (Frausto) went to be with her sacred God that she had ultimate faith in on November 24, 2018. Mary was born in Moore, Texas on March 15, 1941 to Pascual and Ignacia Frausto. Mary enjoyed life, a good margarita and trying her luck at every casino she came across. She had many adventures with family and friends. The most memorable visiting the Vatican with her daughters before her passing. Mom was a hard worker and survivor who loved her family fiercely. She will always be in our hearts and now our angel until the end of time.

Mary is survived by her four daughters and two grandchildren. Veronica Garcia and husband Manuel of Snyder, Texas, Nina Castellanos and husband Robert of Oxnard, California, Elisa Trowbridge of Goleta, California, and Sonia Carrillo of Big Spring, Texas. Grandchildren Crystal Michelle Garcia, of San Antonio, Texas and Douglas Bruce Trowbridge of Goleta, California.

Born September 15, 1920 in Coal County, Oklahoma, Mayme was a daughter of the late William Oscar and Crechia (Stallcup) Bristow. Born at the same time was Mayme›s identical twin sister, Minnnie Frankie. Mayme grew up in

Oklahoma, where she later married J. C. Cradduck in Stonewall, OK October 16, 1937. They lived in Hardin City, OK, Anson and Gladewater. After J.C. ›s death, Mayme moved to Graham, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church and active in Eastern Star; she later moved to Aspermont to be close to family.
