The Aspermont Hornets matched up with the #2 state ranked Jayton Jaybirds for the 2019 Battle of HWY 380 last Friday night.

Throughout a tough and hard fought game, the Jaybird defense stayed one step ahead of the swarm making multiple key 4th and short stops that allowed them to pull away for the 70-38 victory. Although a loss is never easy, the Hornets did have bright spots to build on. As always, Rowdy Bradley proved to be hard to handle racking up close to 400 yards of total offense and connected with Kobe Hodges on 2 touchdown passes. Miguel Rojas connected on 4 out of 5 extra point attempts.
