Scogin FCA Male Athlete of the Year...

During Monday night’s banquet, the announcer read: “Tye has dedicated his life to learning what a disciple of Jesus is, and is living that truth daily.

” “I believe that faith is something you should live by. It’s a gift from God, and it gives you something to look forward to. Once you can see the bigger picture in life, [faith] gives you what you need to follow the right path,” said Scogin. Scogin also partakes in a weekly bible study with fellow teammate,

Tyler Seaton, led by Jaytons Head Football Coach Josh Stanaland. “Coach Stanaland is a great guy. It doesn’t matter what sport we are in, he leads us through the bible and teaches us that there is more to life than sports,” said Scogin.

Jayton games have opposite endings

By Justine Latham

In Guthrie on Friday the Lady Jays played Benjamin girls while the Jaybirds played Guthrie boys. These games did not have the same turn out unfortunately.

The Lady Jays kept up with the Benjamin varsity girls in the first quarter well. Playing strong defense in the beginning of the quarter but ultimately letting Benjamin have the lead 8-11

The second and third quarters were a slow back and forth game. Every few minutes the Lady Jays made extraordinary moves and would sink a three pointer.
