Let's go down memory lane, one thing about it they can't take our memories away from us what Thanksgiving with families were in past years. My greatest memories were when we all went to Roby to Grandma and Pa Finch's house and ate Thanksgiving Dinner. What fun all the kinfolks from Roby, the Goforth's, the Finch's , the Turnbull's, and the McCulloughs all came to Grandma and Pa's house to celebrate, give thanks, and visit, and what a table it was. She had a huge big round table that Pa had made her so all eight of their kids could sat at the table. A big crowd like she always fed, tables were set everything on the front porch and the back porch. What fun we all had, got to see all the cousins from everywhere. Then as I got older things changed, me being the first grandchild, and my Mother and Aunt Deedie being the oldest, well Mom and Aunt Deedie took over for Grandma, then times changed again, Carol was the oldest so they all came to Lester and Carol's house, and what fun we had. By that time all of us young ones had family, and they spread from Dallas, Ft, Worth, San Angelo, Corpus Christi, and White Sands Mexico. When Lester rebuilt our house, I said, "Honey leave that living room, dinning room, and kitchen all together that way we can feed 50 people when we need too. One Thanksgiving I will never forget, all of them were coming, all of them had called, "Carol what do we need to bring, you make the hot rolls we will do the rest!!!" Okay, two days before all of them were going to be there, my big table broke right half into!!!!! I went into panic mode, what in the world were we going to do. Well at that time Post was having their trades day, and the woodworking people from Branson, was coming down there and selling their furniture. I went to Post on Saturday bought my huge table that I still have in my house at Rotan, and give thanks for it everyday!!!!!!! I wish all of us the best Thanksgiving even though it's going to be different without all our folks just stay safe and give thanks for what we have
