New modeling app to assist farmers in forecasting

Scientists with Texas A&M AgriLife Research in the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences are developing a tool that could give agricultural producers a glimpse into the future for planning purposes.

City of Aspermont finalizes emergency plans

The Aspermont City Council met last month, reviewing bids for generators for operating pumping stations in the event of power loss. Purchasing the equipment is in preparation for the city’s emergency plan, as the updated plan calls for a generator sufficient to meet emergency needs.

Although not experiencing eclipse totality like those underneath the moon’s umbrella, students along the Double Mountains donned special glasses to witness the rare celestial event.

Stonewall Memorial Makes Strategic Move:

The Stonewall Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors adopted a resolution in mid-March that authorized a loan through 2025, effectively reducing the district’s principal on its 2020 banknote to less than $1 million. Moorhead explained to directors last month that while the district has paid around $200,000 or more on the loan’s principal, he was hesitant to commit that much funding toward debt repayment at this time.

I’m here again and couldn’t resist another. Oh what fun it’s been. I was on a very early morning walk along the shoreline. My attention was drawn to a sudden odd wave sounds out in the loch. As I squinted to look into the rising mist. I could just about make out thin wispy shadows dancing about, I’m sure I just might have seen the Loch Ness monster known as Nessie. But the early morning light plays tricks on many a hopeful tourist. So who knows? Keep on Exploring folk!

Hundreds of spectators turned out from all across the region and beyond last week when the staff at the Stonewall Living Center hosted Aspermont’s Got Talent, an annual talent show for the community and fundraising event for the SLC.
