Peggy Jo Maberry Ross

November 18, 1940 — September 24, 2023 Peggy Jo Maberry Ross, 82, was born on November 18, 1940 in Terrell, Texas to Albert and Geneva Maberry. Peggy passed away in the evening hours of Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sidney Wayne Ross, her daughter Lisa Ross Morales, Son in Law David Morales, daughter Jana Ross Hansen, Son in Law Chuck Hansen, 4 grandchildren, Madison Kinsel (husband BJ Kinsel), McKenna Milam (husband Lance Milam), Garrett Smith and Sidney R Morales. Peggy also has 4 great-grandchildren, three wonderful younger brothers, Albert A Maberry Jr. and wife Barbara of McCaulley; Arthur Maberry and wife Danna of Sweetwater; and Gordon Maberry and wife Leslie of Weatherford; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Peggy taught school for 35 years in Abilene, Texas and Andrews, Texas. She enjoyed square dancing in her younger years with her husband of 62 years. She also enjoyed her daily walks with Bella, her beloved Boston Terrier Bulldog, and sitting outside watching the wildlife. Peggy enjoyed reading, attending Bible studies, going to movies with her daughter and grandson, visiting her children in Texas and spending time with her brothers and their wives. Faith and family were extremely important to Peggy.

Peggy’s visitation will be Thursday night, September 28th, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Starbucks Funeral Home in Merkel, Texas. Funeral service will be held at the Trent United Methodist Church on Friday morning, September 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
