He loved a lot of things, but these three were his favorites. Above all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his Church, Emanuel Baptist. Ike was a member of Emanuel Baptist church for over 75 years. He spent many hours working at the church and fellowshipping with his brothers and sisters in Christ. Secondly, he loved his family. Ike loved spending time July 21, 1931 — August 24, 2023 with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His heart was always blessed when his family came to see him. Ike’s prayer was that his family serve the Lord, attend a good Christian church, and find good Christian wives and husbands. Finally, Ike loved to grab a fishing pole and head down to the river to fish.

Isaias was preceded in death by his parents, Isaias and Petra Rodriquez; sisters, Maria and Petra; brothers, Rufus, Santiago, Samuel, and Daniel Rodriguez; daughter, Elsa Yanez; grandchild, Philip Yanez; and great grandchild, Valerie DeLaRosa.

He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Alicia Cantu Rodriguez; sisters, Lydia Yanez, and Rachel Martinez; children, David Rodriguez, Enedina (Adolfo) Medrano, Vera (Roman) Garcia, and Rebecca (Richard) Diaz; seven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Everyone who knew Ike, knews he was a kind and loving man that loved his friends and family, but most of all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Tim. 4:7
