James Clarence Rivers, 88, of Rotan, TX, died Monday, October 23, 2023. A private graveside service will be held at Trinity Memorial Park at the family’s convenience. James was born November 1, 1934 in Fisher County, TX. He had worked for Sid Richardson as a Lab Tech. A veteran, James had served in the US Army from 1957 until 1959. He is survived by two daughters; Robin Madewell (Wiley) of Rotan, and Toya Rivers; and a God-son, Michael Krueger. James was preceded in death by his parents; Bascum Washington Rivers and Ila Tolan Rivers; and his wife Frances Blackstock.
