1973 - 2023

July 18, 2023, Monte Harold McKinney, Jr., 50, of Rotan, TX, passed away in the early morning. (Little) Monte was born in Rotan, Tx, in 1973 to Monte and Dianna McKinney. He graduated from Rotan High School in 1991 and moved to Huntsville, TX, to work for TDCJ. He moved back to Rotan in mid 2000. He enjoyed collecting/ shooting guns and grilling with friends.

(Little) Monte is predeceased by his mother Dianna Lynn, grandparents Murl McKinney and Shorty and Wanda Acker, all of Rotan.

(Little) Monte is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Addison and Madeline McKinney; father Monte McKinney, Sr.; siblings Melissa Perales and Mandye Tovias (Cam); grandmother Francene McKinney; two nieces and four nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled
